André Kurz advises and represents national and international clients in corporate and commercial law as well as banking and financial market law. He drafts and negotiates contracts, prepares legal documentation for financial products, and supports company formations as well as corporate restructurings. He also advises on dealings with supervisory authorities and other government bodies, and represents his clients' interests in contentious matters as well as in proceedings before courts and authorities.
He further supports companies in building, implementing and further developing legal and regulatory compliance structures, particularly in the areas of anti-money laundering, sanctions and data protection.
Background
André Kurz studied law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and was admitted to the bar in the Canton of Zurich. Before founding his own practice, he worked at a leading Swiss commercial law firm as well as in the legal and compliance departments of internationally active banks.
Throughout his career, he gained extensive practical experience in banking and financial market law, in international wealth management for private and institutional clients, in investment banking, in business with independent asset managers, and in the issuance of listed and unlisted financial products. He also gained further experience in real estate transactions, corporate transactions and restructurings, as well as in internal, regulatory and criminal investigations. In addition, he has practical experience in data protection and employment law as well as liability and inheritance law.
André Kurz practises as an independent attorney and is registered with the bar association of the Canton of Zurich.
